Career Change: From News Anchor To Chinese Medical Practitioner Dear HKBGS Alumni and BGS Members, Career Change? How to find out your right career and sustain your talents? We are honorable to have Ms. Louisa Wong Takyu, the former famous new anchor, to be our guest speaker and give an insightful talk on her change to a Chinese Medicine Practitioner. Ms. Louisa Wong Tak Yu obtained her undergraduate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of Hong Kong and is currently a post-graduate student in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong, completing a Master Degree in Internal Medicine. She is also a certified protégé of Professor Han Mingxiang, National Master Practitioner of Chinese Medicine, under the Chinese Medicine Clinical Initiation Program(HKU). Before entering a career in Chinese Medicine, Ms. Wong was a news anchor and medical journalist at TVB for more than 5 years after her first degree in Journalism and Communication, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After leaving TVB, she remained actively involved in medical infotainment programs, which were broadcast across TVB, RTHK, Cable TV, and Metro Radio stations.
